Eligibility

Am I Eligible for this Certification?

To be eligible for PHR or SPHR certification, you must meet the following education and experience requirements:

PHR Eligibility:

  • 1 year of professional-level HR experience and a Master’s degree or higher, or
     

  • 2 years of professional-level HR experience and a Bachelor’s degree, or
     

  • 4 years of professional-level HR experience.

SPHR Eligibility:

  • 4 years of professional-level HR experience and a Master’s degree or higher, or
     

  • 5 years of professional-level HR experience and a Bachelor’s degree, or 

​

  • 7 years of professional-level HR experience.
